Information from Winona State University's Office of Public Information

Winona State University will host “Sh*t Folks Say: An Examination of Society, Pop Culture and YouTube” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, in the Stark Science Lab 103.

This year, a YouTube phenomenon spread across the Internet. The video series initially began with the viral video, "Sh*t Girls Say," a one-minute clip poking fun at stereotypes of women. This video was swiftly followed by "Sh*t Black Girls Say,” “Sh*t Latina Girls Say,” “Sh*t Gay Guys Say” and "Sh*t White Girls Say to Black Girls." These videos seem humorous, but feelings of humor are joined by complex and unnerving depictions of social issues plaguing the 21st century.
