8 People Arrested In Albert Lea, Freeborn County | Crime
Last weekend, officers of the Albert Lea Police Department and Deputies with the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office partnered with probation officers from the Department of Corrections and Freeborn County Court Services to perform home visit checks on subjects on probation.
These checks resulted in 8 people being taken into custody. All 8 suspects were charged in Freeborn County Court this week.
Albert Lea Police tell ABC 6 NEWS that they believe this is part of a larger problem of increased drug activity in Albert Lea and Freeborn County.
Of the people taken into custody, 6 of these resulted in new charges of possession of methamphetamine, with 5 subjects being arrested at a single residence in Freeborn County.

- David Michael Hurst, 42, Albert Lea Charge; 5th Degree possession-methamphetamine
- Thomas Edward Lawson, 46, Albert Lea Charge: 5th Degree possession-methamphetamine
- Lavern Otto Alt, 47, Albert Lea Charge; 5th Degree possession-methamphetamine
- Wendy Jean Woodson, 50, Albert Lea Charge; 5th Degree possession-methamphetamine
- Chad Alan Roberts, 44, Albert Lea Charge; 5th Degree possession-methamphetamine
- Jason Alan Roe, 34, Albert Lea Charge; 5th Degree possession-methamphetamine
- Jayne Irene Stout-Manuel, 38, Albert Lea Probation Violation
- Matt John Peterson, 36, Albert Lea Probation Violation
