Albert Lea Police tell ABC 6 NEWS that they have arrested an Albert Lea man.  They believe that man is responsible for nearly one dozen thefts from vehicles.

Authorities say the suspect stole items out of vehicles during the overnight hours of May 10 to May 11.

On Wednesday, May 11, police say that reports started flooding in about thefts from vehicles.  Many different items were taken, including laptop computers, cell phones, keys and a designer purse.

As of Thursday morning, there were 11 separate reports to Albert Lea Police.

The items were taken from several neighborhoods, including locations on the 1000, 1500 and 1600 blocks of Plainview Lane, 1100 block of Pinehill Drive, among others.

Police tell ABC 6 NEWS that they spotted a suspect walking around five o'clock on Wednesday morning.  They went to that man's home and he denied stealing from vehicles.  After police were let into the home, they say they found the stolen items.

The items were recovered and will be returned to their owners.

The man was arrested and charges are expected to be filed in Freeborn County Court.

More reports of thefts are expected in the coming days after vehicle owners discover that they are missing items.
