Humane Society Of Freeborn County Fundraiser Saturday

The Humane Society of Freeborn County is hosting a "Spay-ghetti Supper" this weekend.  The event is aimed at raising money for their local spay/neuter programs.

A membership drive will also be held at the event.  The public is invited to attend.

No tickets are needed.  A free-will donation will be accepted at the door.

Albert Lea Sprays For Mosquitoes Wednesday

The City of Albert Lea will be spraying for mosquitoes at dusk on Wednesday, June 29th.

If it rains, the alternate day is be Thursday, June 30th.

The chemical used is deemed safe for people and pets.

Whether you're looking for a curious cat, a daring dog or maybe even a furry ferret all are up for adoption this Saturday, June 25th.

The Rescued Animal Coalition of Southeast Minnesota is hosting a super animal adoption event at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds.

It is your chance to meet animals from more than 20 rescue groups across our area.

There will be more than 100 animals at the Horticulture Building from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will also include prizes, product vendors, demos and food for sale.

Money Available For Freeborn County Residents To Spay/Neuter Animals

Your dogs and cats may not be celebrating, but Tuesday is "Spay Day" - a national reminder to get your pets spayed and neutered to help control the population of unwanted animals in the United States.

The Animal Humane Society says spaying and neutering offers health and behavioral benefits to dogs and cats in addition to reducing pet overpopulation and the number of animals euthanized in shelters.

The agency says more than 70,000 dogs and cats are born in the U.S.

Shop To Benefit The Humane Society

Help the Humane Society of Freeborn County by doing some shopping this weekend.

It's the annual "Rags, Riches, Crafts and Dishes Sale."

Rummage and crafts as well as home business vendors, including Vikki Jenkins with lia sophia jewelry will be available.  75% of Jenkins' profit will be donated to the Humane Society of Freeborn County.  That money will be doubled as part of a challenge grant.

Caramel Apple Humane Society Fundraiser

 

 

Enjoy some sliced apples in a bowl topped with gooey caramel, whipped cream, and nuts this weekend.  The Freeborn County Humane Society will be at Bergdale Harley Davidson in Albert Lea on Saturday 10:30am - 3:00pm.

They will also have a donation bucket there.  Each dollar donated will be tripled by the Schmidt Challenge Grant. 

Every cent matters when it comes to helping homeless pets in Freeborn County.

Help The Freeborn County Humane Society

Northbridge Mall in Albert Lea will host an event this Saturday to help the Freeborn County Humane Society.

It is called Rescues and Runways - Fashion Show, Fundraiser and Adoption event.

The shelter is overwhelmed with the number of cats and dogs that are up for adoption.

The event will take place September 11th from 12:30-2:30pm.

The shelter is hoping to build a new facility to house the animals as they wait for homes.
