Hundreds of people packed into the Albert Lea High School auditorium on Saturday night.  They packed in for Dancing With The Freeborn County Stars, a fundraiser for the Freeborn County Chapter of the American Red Cross.

8 couples danced on stage that night.  The began training in January and this was the culmination of all their hard work.

Three judges gave each couple a score and the audience's donations also factored into scoring.

Jacob Abrego and Roberta Grahn got the highest score of the night and took first place as the best dancers in Freeborn County!

Barbara Engebretsen and Orrion Roisen took second place.

Ticket sales, silent auction items and fundraising from the dancers totaled more than $30,000.  That is roughly $3,000  more than what was raised at last year's event.

All the proceeds will go to benefit the Freeborn County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
